How the visual memory test works

Some squares on the grid light up together for under two seconds. When they go dark, tap all of them, in any order. Clear the level and the next one adds a square. Level 1 has three squares on a 3×3 grid; the grid grows to 4×4, 5×5 and beyond as the count goes up.

You can make two wrong taps in a round. The third costs a life and gives you a new pattern at the same level. You have three lives. Your score is the last level you cleared.

Tips

  • Look at the whole shape the squares make instead of each square on its own.
  • Split a big grid into halves or corners and remember a few squares in each.
  • Tap the squares you’re sure of first, then think about the rest. There’s no time limit for tapping.

Questions

Is it the same as Memory Match? No. Memory Match is the card-pairs game. This test shows a pattern all at once and asks for all of it back.

Is my score saved? Your best and your last ten runs are saved in this browser.
