How to play
Sixteen tiles numbered 21 to 36 sit in the middle. Each shows worms: one on 21 to 24, two on 25 to 28, three on 29 to 32 and four on 33 to 36. The player with the most worms at the end wins.
On your turn, roll the eight dice. Their faces are 1 to 5 and a worm, which counts as 5. Pick one face you rolled and set aside every die showing it. Then roll the dice that are left, and pick again. You can never pick a face you’ve already set aside this turn.
After any pick you may stop, as long as you’ve set aside at least one worm. Add up your dice: you take the tile with that number from the middle, or the highest one below it. If your total exactly matches the top tile of another player’s pile, you can steal that tile instead.
If you roll and every face showing is one you’ve already set aside, or you run out of dice without being able to take a tile, you bust. Your top tile goes back to the middle, and the highest tile in the middle is turned over and out of the game (unless it’s the tile you just put back). The game ends when the middle is empty; a tie goes to whoever holds the highest tile.
Tips
Grab a worm early, since nothing counts without one. Taking many low numbers leaves you few dice for a big total, so keep the 5s and worms when you can. And watch the tops of other piles: stealing a tile takes worms from a rival as well as giving them to you, and a tile on top of your own pile is the one you lose when you bust.
