Pick a birth date and the page shows the Western zodiac sign with its date range, the birthstone and birth flower of that month, the Chinese zodiac animal for the year, the weekday you were born on, how many days old you are, and how long until your next birthday. It is meant for fun and for gift ideas: a garnet for a January birthday, a daffodil for March.
Notes and questions
Are the sign dates exact? The signs change on about the 20th to 23rd of each month and the exact moment varies by year and time zone, so people born on the edge of two signs may be listed differently elsewhere. The page uses the commonly published dates.
Why might my Chinese zodiac animal be wrong? The Chinese year begins at the Lunar New Year, between late January and mid February. For birthdays before that date, the animal is the one from the year before. This page uses the calendar year.
