How to use it
Paste your guest list into the box, one name per line or separated by commas, and press Add guests. Each table has a name and a number of seats, and you can add or remove tables. To seat someone, pick a table from the "Seat at…" list beside their name; tables that are full are greyed out. To move or unseat a guest, tap their name on the table. Fill empty seats at random deals the remaining guests into whatever seats are free and leaves people you have already placed where they are. Re-deal everyone starts over with a fresh shuffle.
Tips for a good plan
Seat the people who must sit together first (couples, families, the head table), then shuffle the rest and swap a few by hand. Mix groups who don’t know each other on purpose, and keep anyone who needs easy access to the door, the stage or a restroom near it. Use Copy as text to paste the plan into a message or a document for the venue.
Questions
Where is the guest list stored? Only in this browser, on this device. Nothing is uploaded, so there is no account and no sharing link; copy the text to share it. Can I have a table bigger than 30 seats? No, the limit is 30 seats per table, 40 tables and 400 guests. Can I drag names around? Not yet; the lists and buttons work the same with a keyboard, a mouse or a touch screen. For random groups without table limits, try Team Generator.
