How to play
There are 106 tiles: the numbers 1 to 13 in four colours (red, blue, gold and black), two of each, plus two jokers. Everyone starts with 14 tiles on their rack.
On your turn, either lay tiles from your rack onto the table, or draw one tile from the pool. Every set on the table must be one of these:
- A group: three or four tiles of the same number, all different colours (red 7, blue 7, black 7).
- A run: three or more numbers in a row in one colour (gold 4, 5, 6, 7). Runs don’t wrap round from 13 to 1.
A joker can stand in for any tile.
Opening
Your first play must be one or more new sets from your own rack, adding up to 30 or more. Until then you can’t touch the sets already on the table.
Rearranging
Once you’ve opened, the whole table is yours to rework. Split a run, move a tile from one set to another, take a tile off a long run to start a new group, as long as every set is valid when you press Done and you added at least one tile from your rack. Tiles on the table never go back to a rack. Undo puts everything back as it was.
Winning
The first player to empty their rack wins. If the pool runs out and everyone has to pass in turn, the player with the lowest total on their rack wins (a joker counts as 30).
Tips
Look for tiles you can slot into the middle of a long run by splitting it in two. Keep a joker for when you’re close to going out. Sorting your rack by colour makes runs easy to spot; sorting by number shows the groups.
