How to play Thai Word Race

Pick a level and a way round, then press Start. A word comes up with four choices; click one or press 1 to 4. Thai words show their romanization too.

  • Sprint: 60 seconds, as many as you can. A miss pauses the clock while you read the answer; your best is kept for each level.
  • Race the duck: 10 words against the computer. A right answer is 1 point and the first right answer gets 1 more, so speed counts. Pick an easy, normal or hard duck.
  • Online: friends join a room on their own phones and everyone answers the same word at once, with the same scoring.

The levels

The words are the glossary of the Thai course: A1 is lessons 1 to 5 (greetings, numbers, family, food, getting around), A2 lessons 6 to 10, B1 lessons 11 to 15 and B2 lessons 16 to 20 (news, business, opinions and idioms).
