How to play
Each card names two opposites, like Cold and Hot, and hides a target somewhere on the dial between them. One player, the Reader, sees where the target is and gives a clue: a thing, a person, a place or a few words that sit at that spot. If the target is near Hot, “soup” might do; a bit cooler and “bath water” might be better.
Everyone else turns the dial to where they think the target is. Then the target is shown:
- 4 points within 3 of the target
- 3 points within 8
- 2 points within 14
The Reader changes each card.
On one phone or online
On one phone you’re a team: the Reader takes the phone to see the target and writes the clue, then everyone talks it over and turns one dial together. Add up your points over the cards.
Online, everyone guesses on their own phone and keeps their own score. The Reader scores the average of everyone’s points, so a clear clue pays. Everyone reads once or twice, and the most points wins.
Tips
The clue doesn’t have to be a word on the dial: it just has to feel like it belongs at that spot. Think about how your friends see the world, not only how you do.
