How to play
Every card has a recipe on one side and a vegetable on the other: carrot, tomato, lettuce, onion, pepper or cabbage. The market has three piles showing their top recipe, with two vegetables laid out below each pile.
On your turn, either take one recipe from the top of a pile, or take any two vegetables. Once a turn you may also turn one of your recipes over into the vegetable on its back. Empty spaces in the market fill from the pile above.
When every card has been taken, each recipe scores your vegetables. Some give points for each vegetable of a kind (and take some away for others), some for each set, some for having the most or fewest of something compared with everyone else, and some for odd or even counts. The most points wins.
The number on each of your recipes shows what it’s worth right now. The little vegetable in the corner is what’s on its back.
Tips
Recipes that work together are worth more than the biggest single one. Late in the game, a recipe that will score nothing is often worth more as a vegetable.
