How to play
Each round picks a letter and a list of categories, like “Things in a kitchen” or “Excuses for being late”. Before the time runs out, write one answer for each category that starts with the letter. With the letter B: blender, “the bus broke down”. “The”, “a” and “an” at the front don’t count, so “The Beatles” is a B.
When everyone is done, the answers are read out one category at a time. An answer scores one point if it starts with the right letter and nobody else wrote the same thing. If an answer doesn’t really fit the category, the others can strike it out: it’s gone when most of them agree. After the last round, the most points wins.
Playing together
On one phone, pass it round: each player fills in the list against their own timer while the others look away, then everyone reads the answers together. With Play online (when it’s available), everyone writes at the same time on their own phone, which is quicker and works across rooms.
Tips
Skip the first answer that pops into your head: everyone else thought of it too. Fill in the easy ones first and come back to the hard ones. A short answer that fits beats a long clever one that the group strikes out.
