How to play
Each player has fourteen ducks on a six-sided pond of 61 spots. Light moves first. On your turn, move one, two or three of your ducks that sit side by side in a straight line, one step in any of the six directions.
- Along the line: the whole line steps forward, like a train. Tap the ducks, then the arrow (or the lit spot ahead).
- Sideways: every duck steps across at once. All the spots they move into must be empty.
Shoving
When you move along a line and your rival’s ducks are in the way, you can shove them, but only if you have more: two shove one, three shove one or two. The spot behind their last duck must be empty, or the edge of the pond. A duck shoved over the edge is out.
Push six of your rival’s ducks off to win. After 200 moves, whoever has pushed off more wins; the same number is a draw.
Tips
Keep your ducks in a tight group near the middle, where they can’t be shoved off. Lines of three are your strongest shovers, and a lone duck on the edge is an easy target. Splitting your rival’s group into small pieces makes them easier to push around.
