How to play
There are 100 tiles in five colors: Reed, Sky, Sun, Berry and Shell. Each round, four tiles are laid on each stone (5 stones with two players, 7 with three, 9 with four), and the duck token sits in the middle.
Taking tiles. On your turn, take every tile of one color from one stone; the rest of that stone slides into the middle. Or take every tile of one color from the middle. The first player to take from the middle also takes the duck token: it goes on their floor, but they go first next round.
Your rows. Put all the tiles you took on one of your five rows. Row 1 holds one tile, row 5 holds five. A row holds one color at a time, and you can’t start a color on a row whose wall already has it. Tiles that don’t fit fall to the floor, and you can always choose the floor.
End of the round. When every tile is taken, each full row sends one tile across to its spot on the wall and the rest are cleared. The new tile scores 1, or if it touches other tiles, the length of its line across plus its line down. Then each floor tile costs 1, 1, 2, 2, 2, 3 and 3 points. Rows that aren’t full stay for next round.
The end
The game ends after the round in which someone fills a whole row of their wall. Then everyone adds 2 for each full row, 7 for each full column and 10 for each color they placed five times. The highest score wins; a tie goes to whoever filled more rows.
Tips
Build in clusters: a tile beside a line of four scores far more than one on its own. Watch what the others need, and leave them stuck with a big handful for their floor. Columns are worth more than rows at the end.
