How Pond Plaza works

Pick a feather color and a name, then walk into one of the public worlds (Lily, Reed, Moss or Fern), make a private world and share its code with friends, or explore on your own with a few computer ducks. Tap or click anywhere to walk there; arrow keys and WASD work too.

Places

Town Plaza has the fountain and benches, and doors to everything else. Crumb Café has tables to sit at and the Bread Catch machine. Feather & Thread sells hats, glasses and things to wear round your neck, and has a mirror for trying on what you own. Reed Dock is where you fish. The Green has a ball and two goals. Lily Pad Hall has music and a dance floor. The map button takes you anywhere at once.

Shells

You start with 25 shells. Earn more by fishing (bigger fish live further out, and the golden carp is rare), playing Bread Catch (every 4 points is a shell) and scoring goals on The Green (5 each). Your look, shells and the things you own are kept on this device.

Chat and staying safe

Say something with the chat box, or use Quick chat for ready-made phrases. Messages are short, rude words are swapped for “quack”, and links, emails, phone numbers and talk of other apps or where you live can’t be sent. Tap a duck to mute what they say, or turn on “Show quick chat only” in the chat log to see only the ready-made phrases. Never share your real name, age or address.

Emotes and water balloons

Wave, dance, sit, flap, or pop up a heart, a laugh, music and more. Benches and chairs are for sitting on: tap one. Pick Water balloon and tap anywhere to throw one.
