How to play
- Everyone starts with 10 cards (7 Crumbs and 3 Twigs), shuffled into their own deck, and draws five.
- On your turn, first play action cards from your hand. You get one action a turn; some cards give you more, or more cards, buys or coins.
- Then buy: your treasure cards (Crumb 1, Bread 2, Cake 3) count by themselves. Pay a card’s cost and it goes on your discard pile. You get one buy unless a card gives more.
- At the end of your turn, everything you played and held goes on your discard pile and you draw five new cards. When your deck runs out, shuffle your discard pile into a new deck. That’s how bought cards come round.
- Twigs, Nests and Trees are worth 1, 3 and 6 points but do nothing in your hand. Mud is worth -1.
- Ten of the thirteen action cards are on the table each game. The game ends when the Trees run out or any three piles are empty. Most points wins; a tie goes to whoever took fewer turns.
Tips
A deck with fewer, better cards draws its best cards more often, so removing Crumbs and Twigs can pay off. Two cards that both need your one action collide; a card with +2 actions fixes that. Buy points once your deck can reach 8 coins most turns.
