How to play
Each round shows a dial between two opposite ideas, such as Cold and Hot or Underrated and Overrated. The psychic takes the phone in private and sees a hidden target on the dial. They then give the group one clue out loud, a word or short phrase, that points to where on the dial the target sits. The rest of the group talks it over and slides the marker to their best guess. Then the target is revealed.
The closer the marker, the more points the whole group earns: 4 for a bullseye, 3 for very close, 2 for close, 1 for the neighborhood. The psychic role passes around the group each round, and the phone goes back to the group for the guess. Play for as many rounds as you like and try to beat your own score.
Good clues
A clue for something near one end can be extreme (“a volcano” for very hot). For the middle, think of something that is clearly in between. Don’t use numbers or direction words. It’s fun to argue about where “a lukewarm bath” belongs on a hot-to-cold dial.
Does it need the internet? Only to load the page; the one-phone game runs on this phone and nothing is sent anywhere.
Can we play on a video call? Yes: pick Play online and everyone joins the same room on their own phone. Only the psychic’s screen shows the target.
