How to play
The deck has the numbers 1 to 104. Everyone gets ten cards, and four cards start four rows on the table.
Each turn, everyone picks one card from their hand at the same time. Then the cards are shown and placed one by one, lowest first. A card always goes on the row whose last card is the highest number below it. A row holds five cards: if your card would be the sixth, you take the five cards in that row and your card starts it again.
If your card is lower than the last card of every row, it can’t go anywhere: you choose any row to take, and your card starts it.
Feathers
Every card you take counts against you. Most cards have one feather. Numbers ending in 5 have two, numbers ending in 0 have three, doubles (11, 22, 33 …) have five, and 55 has seven. The dots on a card show how many it has. After ten turns the round ends; play more rounds until someone reaches 66 feathers (or 33 for a short game). The fewest feathers wins.
Tips
The safest card lands just above the end of a short row. Big gaps are risky: other players’ cards may slip in first and push yours to sixth place. A very low card can be useful when a cheap row is sitting there to take. With lots of players, rows fill fast, so think about where everyone else might play.
Playing together
Against the computer, choose one to nine opponents. Online, everyone opens the invite link on their own phone and picks in secret; computer players can fill seats.
