How to play

Each player is secretly a duck or a fox. Two foxes play with 5 or 6 players, three with 7 to 9, and four with 10. The foxes know who the other foxes are; the ducks don’t know anything.

There are five egg runs. For each one:

  1. Pick a team. The leader (👑) picks the team for this run; the size is shown on the track. Leaders can pick themselves.
  2. Vote. Everyone votes yes or no in secret, and the votes are shown together. More than half yes and the team goes. Otherwise the next player leads and picks again. If five teams in a row are turned down, the foxes win.
  3. The run. Each team member secretly chooses to keep the eggs safe or spoil them. Ducks always keep them safe; foxes may spoil. One spoil ruins the run (with 7 or more players, the fourth run needs two).

Winning

Three safe runs and the ducks win. Three spoiled runs, or five turned-down teams in a row, and the foxes win.

Tips

Talk! Online, play with friends on a call. Ducks: watch who was on the spoiled runs and who voted for those teams. Foxes: don’t spoil every run you’re on, and back a few good teams to stay trusted.
