How to play
Everyone is on the same team. The deck holds the cards 2 to 99. There are four streams: two climb, starting at 1, and two fall, starting at 100. You hold eight cards alone, seven with two players, six with more.
On your turn, play at least two cards (just one once the deck is empty), more if you like. Each card goes on a climbing stream if it’s higher than the top card, or a falling stream if it’s lower.
The step back. A card exactly 10 below a climbing stream’s top (or 10 above a falling one) can go on it too, winding that stream back. That’s the key to winning.
Then draw back up to your hand size and the next player goes.
No numbers! You can’t tell anyone what you hold. You can ask the team to keep off a stream with the ✋ button, for example when you’re holding a step back for it.
Winning
Play all 98 cards and the team wins. If a player can’t play the cards they must, the game ends there: count the cards left in hands and the deck. Under 10 is a very good game.
Tips
Play the cards closest to a stream’s top. After the minimum, keep playing only when it’s cheap. Hold on to step backs until a stream needs one, and listen to your team’s ✋ flags.
