How to play

The map has 20 ponds joined by 42 flight routes. Each route is 1 to 6 long and has a colour, or is grey. Everyone has 20 ducks to place on routes, starts with 4 feather cards, and picks at least two of three secret journeys (go from one pond to another).

On your turn, do one of these:

  • Draw two cards, from the five face up or blind from the pile. Rainbow cards count as any colour, so a face-up rainbow is your whole draw.
  • Fly a route: pay as many cards of its colour as it is long (a grey route takes any one colour) and put your ducks on it. Routes score 1, 2, 4, 7, 10, 15 points for lengths 1 to 6.
  • Take new journeys: look at three and keep at least one.

The end

When someone has two ducks or fewer left, everyone (them included) gets one last turn. Then each journey you joined up with your own routes adds its value, and each one you didn’t takes it away. The longest unbroken flight (a path through your routes, each used once) earns 10 more. Most points wins; a tie goes to whoever finished more journeys.

Tips

Keep journeys that share routes, so one set of ducks pays twice. Fly the one route your journey can’t do without early, before someone else takes it. Long routes are worth far more per duck than short ones, and taking new journeys late is a gamble: an unfinished one costs you its points.
