How to play
Everyone gets the same question, like “Name a fruit” or “A good name for a dog”, and secretly writes one answer. The goal isn’t to be clever: it’s to say what everyone else says.
When the answers are in, they’re grouped. Capitals, punctuation and a leading “the” don’t matter, and the host can put together answers that mean the same thing (“NYC” and “New York”). If one answer is more popular than every other, everyone who gave it scores a point. If two answers tie for the most, nobody scores.
If exactly one player gave an answer nobody shares, they get the Odd Duck 🦆, and keep it until someone else ends up alone. You can’t win while holding the Odd Duck. The first player to reach the target without it wins.
Tips
Go for the obvious answer, the first thing that pops into your head, and think about who you’re playing with: a table of cat lovers will answer differently from a table of chefs. Arguing about whether two answers are the same is half the fun.
Playing together
On one device, pass the phone round so everyone writes their answer in secret, then look at the groups together. In Play online (when it’s available) everyone answers on their own phone at once, with an optional timer, and the host groups the answers.
