How to play Duck Isles

Make your duck (feathers, bill, scarf and hat), then pick an island from the map. Each island has a problem to solve. Talk to everyone, explore every corner, and pick up anything that glows. When someone needs a thing you’re carrying, they take it when you talk to them.

Walk: arrow keys or A and D, or click (tap) where you want to go. Click a person to walk over and talk to them.
Jump: Space, W or the up arrow. Hold it for a higher jump. Clicking high above your duck jumps too.
Climb: stand by a rope or vine and press up or down.
Doors: press up (or E) at a door. Walk off the edge of a scene to go to the next one.
Talk and use: E or Enter. Press it again for the next line.
Bag and quest: B opens your bag, Q shows what to do next. The “Next” line under the island always says too.
Phones: use the buttons under the island, or tap where you want to walk.

The islands

Breadcrumb Bay: the lighthouse has gone dark. Get the keeper’s key back from a greedy gull.
Mossy Marsh: find the frog band’s three instruments before the Lily Pad Festival. Some lily pads drift.
Frostbill Peak: fix the summit telescope before the comet passes. The ice is slippery and the icicles fall.

Finish an island to earn its Golden Feather and a new hat. Collect all three feathers for the golden crown.

Tips

Stuck? Open the quest (Q). It always names the next step.
Falling in water or thorns never ends the game. You go back to the last safe spot.
On ice, start your jump a little early. You keep sliding after you let go.
Moving platforms come back. Wait on the edge until one is close.
Red mushrooms bounce you much higher than a normal jump.

Is it free? Yes. No account, no download, nothing to buy.

Does it save? Yes. Your duck, your hats and where you are on each island are saved in this browser. The balloon takes you back to the map, and Continue picks up where you left off.

Can I play an island again? Yes. Once you’ve finished one, Start over on the map plays it from the beginning. You keep the feather and the hat.
