How to play
The board starts with two dark and two light discs in the middle. On your turn, place one of your discs on an empty square so that it traps one or more of the other color’s discs in a straight line, across, down or diagonally, between your new disc and another disc of yours. All the trapped discs flip to your color. A move must flip at least one disc; the small dots show the squares where you are allowed to play. If you have no legal move you pass, and the game moves on by itself. The game ends when neither player can move, and whoever has more discs wins. Dark goes first.
The computer has three levels. Easy plays a random legal square but likes corners. Medium looks two moves ahead and Hard looks four, valuing corners and edges and trying to keep more options open than you have. Choose 2 players to share the screen with a friend.
Tips
The number of discs matters only at the very end. Early on, having fewer discs is often better, because it leaves the other player with fewer choices. Corners are the strongest squares, since a disc in a corner can never be flipped, and the squares next to a corner are dangerous because they let the other player take it. Try to make moves that flip few discs in the middle and keep your own discs together.
