How to play Block Word

There’s one Minecraft word to find each day: a block, an item, a mob, a biome, an enchantment or a status effect. The squares show how many letters it has. Type a Minecraft word of that length and press Enter.

• Green: right letter, right spot.
• Yellow: the letter is in the word, somewhere else.
• Grey: not in the word (or not that many times).

After three guesses you’re told what kind of thing it is (a mob, a block and so on). You have six guesses.

Tips

• Ores and materials (IRON, COPPER, DIAMOND) are good openers with common letters.
• Mob names often end in -ER or -MAN, and lots of blocks end in -STONE.
• Only words from our Minecraft list count as guesses, so every guess is also a real possibility.

Questions

Which words can come up? Single-word names from Java Edition, 4 to 9 letters long. Two-word names like “Ender Pearl” are left out.

Can I play more? Yes: Practice round gives you random words as often as you like, without touching your streak.

Is this official? No, it’s a fan-made word game.
